Today was a day filled with firsts!  It was my official first day of calling Churches to schedule meetings and on the first call, I scheduled my first conference!!  A local Pastor friend of mine is allowing me to participate in his Missions Conference this Fall, and I'm already excited about what God is going to do throughout the week.  That conference actually falls in the same week as the Macedonia Annual Conference but his runs from Sunday to Wednesday and the other starts Wednesday and runs to the following Sunday.
I had another interesting first today: A Pastor in North Georgia asked if I would present to his Church via Skype so that I didn't even have to drive up there!!  I think this will definitely be a unique event, but it is certainly amazing to see technology advancing Missions and Church work.
Praise the Lord for all that He is doing already!  He is already proving the promise of I Thes 5:24 "Faithful is He that calleth you, who also will do it."
Forgive me for running a bit long in this post, but I can't help pondering the thought of the Olympic events currently underway in Canada.  As I pray that the Lord would help me to complete deputation in time to be in London to help with Evangelistic Outreach during the 2012 Olympics, I am challenged by Paul's admonition not to be entangled with the affairs of this life (II Tim 2:4) or the love of this world (II Tim 4:10) but rather to "Finish the Course" as he did (II Tim 4:8).
~ God, please help me to run this race with patience, laying aside every weight and forsaking every sin, looking only and always to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith, and considering His joyful sacrifice whenever I am tempted to succumb to weariness or allow my mind to focus on anything but Your dear Son.  Amen.  (Heb 12:1-3, personal paraphrase) ~
